Filip Van Roe x Lebeau19
Filip Van Roe first discovered photography during his studies in industrial design. Instantly passionate, he threw himself into photography and developed his own style. He is fascinated by atmospheres, intensity, emotional depth and authenticity in images.
Today, he combines personal projects with commercial work. His work has been published in Marie Claire, Vogue, The Sunday Times, Empire magazine, GQ, Newsweek, and Men’s Health. He has created campaigns for the Ballet van Vlaanderen, Microsoft, Deutsche Bank, Telenet, Kipling, and Volkswagen, to name but a few, and photographed many national and international celebrities, including Forest Whitaker, Colin Farrell, Nicolas Cage, Marina Abramovic and Matthias Schoenaerts.
His work has been exhibited at the Palais des Beaux Arts (Brussels, Belgium), Museum der Moderne (Salzburg, Austria), Museum of Modern Art Dubrovnik (Croatia), Villa Borghese (Rome, Italy), Sadler's Wells (London, UK) and has won several prices at home and abroad.
